FINAL SHOWS: For a witch, 40 years is a blink of a newt’s eye. For Witchie Poo, the Spectacular Halloween Extravaganza, four decades of costumery, stage antics, magic and oodles of tiny goblins and witchlets is quite the accomplishment. The musical – this year themed “The Year of the Witch – returns to the Sebastiani Theatre with matinee shows on Saturdays and Sunday, October 29 and 30.

Witchie Poo (Diana Rhoten) will again hold court and cauldron, joined by the Cruz Brothers (Bob Gossett and Andrew Spear), Long John Silver (Aaron Bremner), and of course, The Magic Man (Roger Rhoten). Featured in the performances will be tap dancing monsters and zombies, the famous black light Beetlejuice number and, of course, Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Cat Austin and Animal (Rod Leeburg) comprise the raucous house band. 2 p.m. Come in costume and partake in the parade. Tickets are $13 for adults and $10 for children (12 & under) and seniors (62 and up) at Sebastianitheatre.com.

Come early at 1:30 p.m., when doors open, to take in all the fabulous decorations – the Sebastiani Theatre is in full Halloween costume – thanks to the creative and artistic efforts of Susan Bellach, décorateur extraordinaire! Be sure to wear your costumes to participate in the costume parade on the classic Theatre stage and have a chance to draw for prizes.

More to do this weekend.
