It’s the season for a Broadway Holiday, the all-new musical revue from Transcendence Theatre Company. Filled with song, dance and good cheer, the show plays December 1-10 at Hanna Center in Sonoma.
The festive indoor event, starring professional Broadway and national tour performers, is perfect for the entire family. Tickets are available now at bestnightever.org
Returning for a second year as director and co-conceiver is Transcendence veteran Colin Campbell McAdoo, along with fellow co-conceivers Matt Smart and Zachary Kellogg.
“We are so excited to present this show that will take the audience on a journey of reflection, comedy, stillness, rock and roll, holiday traditions, and connection,” said McAdoo. “There will be some wonderful a cappella moments as well as a couple tunes that Transcendence has never put on stage before.
“The artists in this show are so talented and we all can’t wait to breathe life into this piece,” he added.
The Broadway Holiday cast features several performers from the Transcendence family including Belinda Allyn (Road Trip, 2022 / Disney’s Frozen National Tour ), Alloria Frayser (An Enchanted Evening, 2023 / The Lexington Theatre Company’s Chicago), and David L. Murray Jr. (The Gala, 2021 / Out of the Box Theatrics’ Songs For A New World).
Making their company debut are Stephen Christopher Anthony (Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen), Devon Perry (Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre’s Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), and Michael Wordly (The Color Purple National Tour).
In addition to Campbell McAdoo, the Broadway Holiday creative and production team includes Zachary Kellogg (Musical Director), Nils Erickson (Sound Designer/Engineer), Colleen Till (Costumes), Sarah E. T. Jackson (Production Stage Manager), and Deanna Gee (Assistant Stage Manager/Props Coordinator).
Ticket prices range from $61 to $161. Performances will take place Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30pm, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2pm, and Sunday evenings at 6pm. For tickets and more information, visit bestnightever.org or call the box office at 877-424-1414.
The intimate show opens at Hanna Center on December 1. “We are thrilled to partner with Transcendence Theatre Company to present yet another extraordinary season of holiday entertainment on our campus,” says Cameron Safarloo, Hanna Center’s CEO.
“The series does so much more than entertain. We know that theater holds the power to benefit both actors and audiences alike. It can educate about mental illness, challenge stereotypes, diminish stigma, alleviate isolation, and inspire hope – all of which we support through our many programs, year-round.”
