It’s not your average love triangle. Kate (Jill Zimmerman) and Greg (David Shirk) are married, harried New Yorkers. He has a meet-cute in the park. Her name is Sylvia (Melody Payne). She’s a dog.
Greg and Sylvia are mad for each other; Kate is more of a cat person. Moments of comedy, conflict and kibble ensure.
Sonoma Arts Live presents Sylva, an off-leash comedy, at Andrews Hall, February 2-18.
The play was an off-Broadway hit in 1995, when Sarah Jessica Parker played the dog role. Here, the show is directed by Carl Jordan. Mark Pavone also stars.
Thursday-Saturday evenings; Sunday matinee. Sonoma Community Center.
