A film focused on the blurred line between church and state

Posted on February 13, 2024 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Does Christian nationalism pose a danger to the country, and Christianity itself? Has a base of Christians radically stoked a movement erasing the line between Church and State?

That’s the premise explored in the film God and Country, showing February 25 at the Sesbastiani Theatre.

The free 2pm screening, presented by Wake UP Sonoma, will be followed by a live panel discussion with director Dan Partland, joined by the Anne Nelson, author of The Shadow Network: Media, Money and the Secret Hub of the Radical Right, and local Reverand Dr. Curran Reichert.

Narrated by Rob Reiner, God and Country examines the diverse landscapes of belief, politics, and community.

The event aims to bring together residents of Sonoma Valley a microcosm backdrop on what is occurring locally, regionally and nationally in the United States where the lines of church and state are being blurred.

Attendees can reserve their seats through Eventbrite Link.
