RuCo Fine Arts presents a captivating exhibition of Sonoma Coast seascapes by acclaimed
artist Michael E. Bartlett. June 21 through July 7, art enthusiasts are invited to immerse
themselves in the raw beauty and timeless allure of the California Coast.
Award-winning artist unveils his latest series
Sonoma Based oil painter, unveils his latest series, capturing the essence of the Sonoma Coast
through a bold and intimate lens. Curated by gallerist and fine art appraiser Eileen Ruggeri-
Coccia, the exhibit takes place at the prestigious La Haye Art Center’s Alley Gallery (148 E.
Napa Street, Sonoma) – entrance on the plaza between Ledson Hotel and Towne Square Bar.
Gallery hours are 1pm to 5pm Thursday through Monday or by appointment.

Bartlett, renowned for his ability to capture the spirit of natural landscapes, takes viewers on a
transformative journey through the ocean’s vastness and intricate details. Each piece
showcases his unique vision, revealing the power, serenity, and hidden depths of the sea with
stunning authenticity.
Michael Bartlett’s work can be described as communicating something deep, profound and
directly to the spirit of the viewer. “I am fascinated by the energy of color and it’s connection to
the viewers soul,” says Bartlett. “My paintings are designed to create a shared experience,
stirring an emotional connection between the artist and the observer.”
Bartlett earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Montana State University in Bozeman and
an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. He also spent many years traveling with a Tibetan
Lama as his assistant, helping to organize meditation retreats around the world. “Traveling the
Buddhist path changes the way you see reality”, says Bartlett.
