The City of Sonoma has announced that the Outreach Report for the General Plan Update is now available for public review on the City’s General Plan Update website.
This report captures the public participation and input received from October 2023 to April 2024, including community visioning workshops, stakeholder surveys and interviews, an online survey, and various presentations.
The outreach program, initiated in 2023, aimed to engage the community in meaningful conversations about the issues and challenges that should be addressed in the General Plan Update. Key activities included:
- A kickoff meeting with the City Planning Commission and City Council.
- Visioning Workshops and a Community Workshop at the Community Center.
- Surveys and interviews with stakeholders.
- An online survey open to all community members.
- Additionally, City staff held presentations to various community groups, including the Chamber of Commerce, Sonoma Valley Community Advisory Commission, and Sonoma Valley Housing Group, among others.
