Sonoma Valley residents who bank at one of the many regional branches of Wells Fargo may have had a bit of a hold-up yesterday. Not the burglary kind. Not the kind where they forgot their PIN code. A spokeswoman for the bank told the San Francisco Business Journal that operational system problems that had cropped up on Sunday caused temporary withdrawal woes for some customers earlier this week, because tellers couldn’t tell how much money they had in their accounts. In domino fashion, there were also delays conducting transfers and processing loans, including mortgages, home equity and student loans.
It might be a good idea for customers to double check their accounts and accessibility
before they write their monthly mortgage check (which is probably due next week)
