Editor’s note: The following letter was addressed to Sonoma County Supervisor Valerie Brown.
Dear Supervisor Brown:
I have just been informed that a local Sonoma food purveyor, Sheana Davis, has been told she may no longer sell her cheese and other products at the Sonoma Valley Certified Farmers Market (the Friday market in Depot Park).
I am very concerned about this for a number of reasons. Sheana was born and raised in Sonoma Valley, lives and has her small business in Boyes Hot Springs, and contributes generously to many local causes. She has also spoken out on issues concerning the management of the Farmers’ Markets in Sonoma Valley. Discontinuing her booth at the Friday Market smacks of retribution and has no ethical place in local business matters.
I would greatly appreciate your looking into this at your earliest convenience.
