Philip Sales, at left, accepts a $5,000 donation to the Save the Petaluma Adobe fund at a benefit at Lagunitas Brewery in Petaluma. Presenting the check on behalf of the Native Sons of the Golden West Nacasio Parlor #183 are James William Madden III, president; Warren Katen, trustee; Robert Orr, first vice president; and Kris Nelsen, secretary. “It was a pleasure and great honor to do this,” said Madden. The event raised some $10,000, Sales said, which will be matched by an anonymous donor. The funds will go to keeping the park open beyond the state’s mandated July 1 shutdown date.
