The lemons take to Sonoma Raceway this weekend for the season finale of the 24 Hours of LeMons.
All the cars racing must cost a mere $500 to purchase, fix and prepare. Attendees will see RVs, beater Cadillacs, and station wagons, for example, rushing around the rack.
An endurance race, over 200 teams have made it to the final, which comprises seven events over two days.
It’s a totally fun and wacky event, which is a benefit for charity. Proceeds support Speedway Children’s Charities (SSC). This year, SSC donated almost $380,000 to local charities.
Tickets are $30 and kids under 16 are free. 24hoursoflemons.com and racesonoma.com.
