Actor Luke Wilson to drive pace car at Sonoma NASCAR race
Hollywood star Luke Wilson will visit Sonoma on Sunday, June 26, to drive the pace car for the upcoming Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway.
Wilson is best known for his comedic roles in films including Old School, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Legally Blonde, Idiocracy, Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums.
He currently starts in Showtime’s Roadies.
“I feel incredibly honored to be asked to lead the field of cars to the green,” said Wilson. “I have never done anything like this before and I’m really excited to start off the race at the Toyota/Save Mart 350.”
Perhaps he’ll visit Wine Country for a bit of tasting or relaxing!? Keep your eyes peeled Sonoma Valley!
