Sonoma to get Vietnamese sister city?
Sonomans Bill Boerum and Jill Hunting of Sonoma’s Sister Cities Association recently met in San Francisco’s city hall with a delegation from Vietnam’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Hunting traveled to Vietnam in September with official letters of introduction from the Sonoma City Council. She met with authorities in the southern coastal city of Phan Rang, which is in Vietnam’s only commercial grapegrowing region, to discuss a possible sister-city relationship.
