Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival

The Vintage Festival is looking for a few good men and women to help put on its 110th annual festival, which celebrates the harvest and continues the Sonoma Valley’s tradition of generous community support. Next year’s festival is Sept. 28, 29 and 30.

The Vintage Festival Board of Directors is looking for people who have experience planning events, working with people, a love of the Sonoma Valley or new ideas to bring to the festival. Board members are asked to attend monthly meetings and to work most of the weekend events. Volunteers are not required to attend meetings and can volunteer for specific committees or events throughout the weekend. Serious applicants are invited to join the current Vintage Festival Board of Directors at the December meeting, Dec. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at The Lodge at Sonoma.

Weekend events during the Vintage Festival include: Patron’s Night, the Bear Flag Revolt re-enactment, the firemen’s water fight, the big parade, amateur wine tasting, the grape stomp as well as food and wine tasting all weekend long on the Plaza.

The Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival benefits worthwhile Valley charities. Past beneficiaries include Vineyard Workers Services, Hanna Boys Center the Sonoma Valley High School Viniculture Scholarship.
