It takes a bit of searching, but once you find Sonoma Tabletop, you may not shop anywhere else for stemware, wine accessories and linens for the table . At least that is what store manager Brenda Ellis said recently at the factory outlet store, which is in an industrial park on Eighth Street East.
“Everything is priced 50 percent to 70 percent below retail,” said Ellis. “And the quality and selection of our tablecloths, napkins, and placemats is extraordinary. Why go anywhere else?”
Sonoma Tabletop is a bright, cheerful store stocked with whatever a wine-lover needs to create a tabletop environment of casual sophistication and taste.
Sonoma Tabletop offers everything from uniquely designed ceramic bottles and containers to a delightful selection of cork stoppers and wine caddies. But Ellis and owner David Lieberstein are most proud of their selection of linens.
“Tabletop tapestry fabrics are the newest addition to our popular Laurel Burch collection of placements, aprons, table runners and potholders,” said Ellis. “But we have so much more and we get new selections in regularly.”
Besides the dazzling selection of quality linens, the store also offers a fun collection of tableware accessories which make browsing through Sonoma Tabletop a delight. There is a large assortment of wine charms, a unique selection of ceramic servingware, mugs, T-shirts and chillers adored with amusing illustrations spoofing the world of wine, as well as a diverse offering of bottle stoppers that are topped with figurines ranging from adorable animals to locomotives. All are priced below retail.
“As a factory outlet store, we offer wholesale prices and some products are priced even lower,” said Ellis.
She held up a bright, festive placemat.
“At another store this same placemat would cost you double, even triple what we charge,” claimed Ellis. “Now, we ship to those other stores, so we are happy they are successful. But if you want to save money on your tabletop linens and wine accessories, come to us. After all, we’re not that hard to find.”
There is plenty of parking, too.
