Sonoma’s Nigel Armstrong.

Nigel Armstrong, Sonoma’s own young violin virtuoso, will be the featured artist at a fund-raising benefit dinner, “Musical Chairs,” for the Sonoma Classical Music Society on Monday, June 11, at 5 p.m.
Nigel, who is 17 years old and studies at the New England Conservatory, will be performing some solo works by Saint-Saens with the Boston Pops in July. The June 11 benefit, to be held in a beautiful setting at a lovely local home, will include a catered buffet dinner and solo performances by Nigel.
For the past three years, the Sonoma Classical Music Society has been presenting world-class artists to local audiences, including the Alexander String Quartet, St. Petersburg String Quartet, Trio Con Brio Copenhagen, the San Francisco Boys Chorus, Musica Pacifica, and Trio Navarro. The fundraiser will provide the SCMS the opportunity to continue bringing in such fine artists for another year. Tickets for this event are $125 per person. Please join us for a fabulous evening of food and wine and music, bring your family and friends, and help ensure great live classical music remains in Sonoma. To make reservations and for further information, please call 707.996.4990 or after May 19, 707.939.7546.
