Huey Lewis and the News will perform at the B.R. Cohn Charity Events Fall Music Festival, an annual event that will also feature Tower of Power, Lydia Pense and Cold Blood and, as always, the Doobie Brothers. Tickets go on sale Sunday, July 8, for the Sept. 29 concerts, which will be held at the B. R. Cohn winery in Glen Ellen.
Also performing Saturday will be the Doobie Kids, Lara Johnston (daughter of Tom Johnston) and Pat Simmons Jr. (son of Pat Simmons), who will perform sets of their own. The shows, which start at 11:30 a.m., will once again benefit the National Veterans Foundation.
Performers for Sunday, Sept. 30 event have yet to be announced. Sunday’s performances will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs Valley of the Moon, Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance and the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation.Tickets for Saturday, Sept. 29 are $100 in advance ($110 day of show) and will be available at the winery and through all Ticketmaster outlets. (Special VIP seats at $300 complete with food and beverage service are only available through the winery tasting room.) The winery’s direct concert line is 707.931.7927.
