Santé Restaurant at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn, 100 Boyes Blvd., will host a Winemaker Dinner on July 10 at 6:30 p.m. featuring a five-course meal with wines from Benziger Winery.
The meal will start out with a canapé reception that includes forest mushroom cigars, marinated salmon tartar and mini-BLTs served with a sauvignon blanc. This will be followed with a course of seared river scallops served with a chardonnay. Grilled quail will follow, served with a 2006 pinot noir, and will lead into the main course, a roasted beef sirloin served with a 2005 tribute wine. A poached white peach en gelée with toasted lemon cake and pistachio ice cream will be served for dessert with a 2006 Muscat Canelli. The dinner is $95 per person.
