The Sonoma County Coroner’s office has identified the victim of last Friday’s fatal crash on Napa Road as Daniel Guido Garcia, 57, of El Verano.
Witnesses said Garcia was weaving westbound on Napa Road around 2:10 p.m. when his red 1993 Toyota pickup truck cut across the eastbound lane and into a large tree just east of Burndale Road. A coroner’s spokeswoman said yesterday that Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 2:30 p.m..
Napa Road was under one-way traffic control until around 4 p.m.
CHP officer Jaret Paulson said Garcia was using his seat belt, and that the crash was being investigated as a possible DUI. The coroner’s spokeswoman said toxicology results would be available within two weeks.
