The spring schedule has been announced for Conversations on Food & Wine, hosted by The Epicurean Connection. All events will be held at the Sonoma Valley Woman’s Club, 574 First St. E., Sonoma. Doors open at 1 p.m., conversation and taste times from 2 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and are available at Readers’ Books, 130 E. Napa St., Sonoma.

Thursday, Feb. 1:
Venus in the Kitchen

Conversation on aphrodisiac foods and tasting with John Ash, Sheana Davis and Carlo Cavallo.
Moderated by Sylvia Crawford, with poetry by Butch Engle.
Artisan honey tasting with Ross Rubin, Abejero, Napa and Sonoma County organic beekeeper.
Includes a taste of dishes prepared by Meritage, Jimtown and The Epicurean Connection.

Saturday, Feb. 21: Sonoma Valley Artisan Cheese Fair

Conversation with cheese book authors, Rob Kaufelt, of Murray’s Cheese New York; Jeanette Hurt, Wisconsin; and Laura Werlin, California.
Moderated by Janet Fletcher, San Francisco Chronicle columnist.
Meet cheesemakers, including Sid Cook, Carr Valley Cheese, Wisconsin; Bill Boersma, Bravo Farms, California; Ig Vella, Vella Cheese, California; Dee Harley, Harley Farms, Califorina; Anna Cox, Shamrock Artisan Cheese, California; Tim Welsh, Beehive Cheese, Utah; Clover Stornetta; Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board; The California Artisan Cheese Guild; and more.


Sunday, March 29: Women Winemakers of Sonoma

Conversation and tasting with Lynda Trotta, Teresina Family Vinters; Linda Hansen, Hanzell Winery; Carolyn Craig, Larson Family Winery; and Honore Comfort, Sonoma County Vintners and Growers.
Moderated by Heather Irwin, the Press Democrat On Line Bite Club.
Includes a flight of wines by the guest women winemakers of Sonoma.

The seventh annual Sonoma Valley Cheese Conference, also hosted by Sheana Davis of the Epicurean Connection, will take place Feb. 21-24 at the Sonoma Valley Inn.
