Obituary

Johnithan Rodney Guild, a native of Chester, W. Va. and longtime resident of Sonoma, passed away peacefully at his home in Sonoma on Dec. 2, 2008, he was 81.
An active member of the Sonoma Moose Lodge #2048, he was a Merchant Marine for 50 years, based in San Francisco, which allowed him the opportunity to travel the world, which he loved. He also loved playing bingo and going to car shows. He will be remembered for his kindness and his great appreciation for all and anything done for him.
He is survived by his two sisters Gisela T. Newmann of New Orleans and Sylvia Clements of Chapel Hill, N.C. He is also survived by numerous friends in Sonoma. At his request, no formal services will be held. A private inurnment at sea will take place. Arrangements under the direction of Duggan’s Mission Chapel, Mission Cremation Service.
