The Sonoma Valley Chorale is recruiting new members for its May 30 and 31 concerts, “Reel Music,” which will feature choral music from movies such as “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” “Les Miserables” or “The Lord of the Rings.” Tenors, basses and baritones are especially encouraged to lend their voices to this endeavor. Formal rehearsals will begin in early March (specific date yet to be determined). The Chorale has begun Monday night rehearsals at the Veteran’s Memorial Building for its March concert, “How the West Was Sung,” featuring songs about the open range, cowpokes, guitars and buffalo gals. Performances will be on Saturday, March 7 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m.
