Matilda Jakober Roeder passed away peacefully on June 3, 2009, at the age of 96.
Matilda is survived by her sister, Eleanor Kafka and son-in-law, Reg Wilson. She was the cherished grandmother of Mike Wilson and Suzanne Lanning, an adored aunt to Patty Van Vuren and Gary, Mike and Stanley Flandi, and idolized great-grandmother of Amanda and Garret Lanning. Matilda was a native of Sonoma.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Roeder; her daughter, Mary Lou Wilson; her parents Matilda (Tillie) and Carl Jakober; her brothers, Conrad and Peter Jakober; her sister, Cecilia Flandi, her sister-in-law Edna Bordwell; granddaughter Julie Anne Marshall; and friend Manuel Rogers.
Friend attended a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, June 10, at Duggan’s Mission Chapel. Donations in Matilda’s memory may be sent to Pet’s Lifeline, P.O. Box 341, Sonoma, Calif. 95476. Interment will be in the family plot at St. Francis Solano Catholic Cemetery in Sonoma.
