Songs of peace
Sonoma Charter School recently celebrated International Peace Day in honor of the work being done at the United Nations as well as the G8 summit. The school’s music teacher Eleanor Dekkor, and students in kindergarten through third grade, led the morning circle with songs of peace.
The fifth generation
Darlene Dunigan of Sonoma, back row center, recently met her great-grandson, 2-month-old Benjamin Murphy, at a family reunion spanning five generations. A Sonoma resident for 10 years, Darlene Dunigan retired from the Post Office in 2001. The father of her first great-grandchild is stationed in Iraq, but expected back to his Arkansas home next month.
