The Sonoma Valley Museum of Art hosted a unique fundraiser, “You’ve Gotta Have Art” on Friday, Nov. 20. As guests enjoyed the crooning of Chanteuse Shelia Whitney and sipped Limoncello cocktails prepared by HelloCello, they were treated to the rare opportunity to bid on award-winning works of art from the SVMA’s Juried Biennial Exhibition in a silent auction. Over 18 pieces of art were sold, raising $15,000 for the Museum and also benefiting local artists. “It was a great friend-raiser,” said Lydia Chrichton, the museum’s development director, “Everybody had a great time.” Aside from these creative treasures, one lucky guest went home with the raffle prize of the night, a ZAPPY3 EZ, an innovative new electric vehicle from ZAP.
