Where else — besides maybe the Food Network — could you find five all-star Sonoma chefs all in one place? For $50, they’ll even cook you dinner in a candlelit wine cave.
The inaugural Over the Moon Raffle, a fundraiser for the Sonoma Community Center, is offering an extravagant dining experience as a grand prize.
The “Cave Night in Candlelight” dinner will feature the culinary skills of: John McReynolds, Culinary Director of Stone Edge Farm; Andrew Cain, Chef de Cuisine at Fairmont Mission Inn’s Sante; Dana Jaffe, Executive Chef at Saddles at MacArthur Place; Justin Everett, Executive Chef at El Dorado Kitchen; Sondra Bernstein and Executive Chef John Toulze of The Girl and the Fig and Estate.
It’s enough to make a vegan kick a hole in a greenhouse window.
The evening begins on the terrace of a fabulous estate as guests enjoy sweeping, panoramic views of Sonoma Valley during a cocktail reception featuring Gloria Ferrer sparkling wines, live music and a variety of artisan cheeses from Gary Edwards of Carneros Caves. The lavish sit-down dinner will be served in the estate’s unique wine cave and accompanied by wine from Charles Creek Winery.
Marvin Shanken, on line two? Please hold.
Tickets will be sold for $50 each, and five winning tickets will be drawn on Friday, May 23 during a cocktail party at Sonoma Community Center. Each of the five winning tickets will be good for a sit-down dinner for ten people on Saturday, June 19, in the splendor of one of Sonoma’s most exclusive estates. All proceeds will help replace SCC’s 100-year-old heating system.
