Margaret J. Meyer, 90, died peacefully on May 30, 2010 at home in Sonoma. Margaret worked for PG&E for 30 years mostly in the Sonoma Office. She was a dedicated 75 year member of the Native Daughter’s of the Golden West, (N.D.G.W.), most recently with Sonoma Parlor # 209, having served as past president. She was a former member of the Druid, and a native of Sonoma. She was the daughter of the late Emil and Josephine Andrieux; wife of the late Jack C. Meyer; loving mother of Sharon Audiss and JoAnn Massey both of Sonoma; the idolized grandmother of: Dianne, Jack and Christopher Audiss; great grandmother of: Larry and Casey Stanfill, Danielle, Samantha, Holly and Billy Audiss; great great grandmother of Christian Stanfill; dear sister of Helen Andrews, and (the late) Bob Andrieux, Lois Finnerty and Beatrice (Tikie) Rhode; and niece of (the late) John Steiner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010 at St. Francis Catholic Church. A Vigil service will commence at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Duggan’s Mission Chapel,. Entombment will follow the Mass at Mountain Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday June 5th 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday June 6th 12:00 noon – 6:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Margaret’s honor may be made to Hospice by the Bay, 190 West Napa Street, Sonoma, CA 95476; or to the Children’s Foundation, c/o the N.D.G.W. Grand Parlor, 543 Baker Street, San Francisco, CA 94117- 1405.
