Fire on Felder Road

 house-on-fire
A Felder Road house and garage were badly damaged Tuesday afternoon in the Valley’s first major fire of the season. Crews from county agencies responded in some 30 firefighting vehicles, along with two aerial tankers. The fire, reported at about 4:15 p.m. consumed a three-car garage and a single-story residence at 1455 Felder Road. Neighbor Philip Sales told The Sun, “I saw the black smoke, called 911 and had my son Andrew talk to the dispatcher while I grabbed two fire extinguishers and ran to the house. The owner (Nadine Pasquini) was shouting about her car having caught fire but by then her whole garage and roof was ablaze.” Sales said his extinguishers were useless against the growing blaze, and he was driven away by explosions from the car windows blowing out.
