The Sonoma Community Center pulled off another fabulous City Party on Tuesday night with most of the Valley in attendance. To get the ball – er, hoop – rolling, Bene Rather-Taylor and her group, Spin It Hoop Troop and Friends performed unparalleled feats with hoops. The performance was followed by a hoop contest for young and old. Later, the group Crossfire infected the crowd with a dance fever that got most everyone out of their lawn chairs and off their blankets.
The City Party was originated by Ken Brown as a city council member. Since then, the party has changed hands and is now run by the Sonoma Community Center with generous partnership and support from the Sonoma Valley Rotary.
