Editor: It’s that time again for the County of Sonoma to get its Tattered Road Pot Hole Crews functioning and into high gear around here. Before the roads become a tire busting obstacle course (last year’s rainy season). And if they can fill the holes before the multitudes get large, it could even be efficient, saving labor, asphalt and tires.
And speaking of high gear, that very narrow, antiquated and dangerous Watmaugh Road bridge over Sonoma creek that barely accommodates two-way traffic without cyclists or pedestrians needs to come down and be replaced with a wider, safer and sturdier structure. If construction gets stalled for too long it is likely that it will not be done and who wants that? Do it now while the funds exist.
