Marcia Anne Connor

Marcia Anne Connor – February 10, 1952 – October 26, 2010

She was born Marcia Anne Connor to Edward and Anne M. Connor on February 10 in Santa Rosa.

She passed away early Oct. 26 after a 3 year hard fought battle with breast cancer. Marcia enjoyed most of her life in Sonoma. She was a lifelong bartender, mostly at McNeilly’s and for the previous owners, also Marioni’s, Uncle Patty’s etc. She partnered with Bob Greigg in a catering business called “Savory Faire” in the 1980’s. Renowned for her hot crab dip, banana nut bread, lemon bars, cream of asparagus soup and stuffed mushrooms.

Her greatest joy was bringing happiness to others, be it a meal, a smile, a drink, a helping hand or a good laugh. Always willing to try just about anything such as sky diving, jet skiing, island hopping, partying or just taking life to its fullest.

She is survived by her brothers Edward Connor of Ormond Beach, Florida, Bill Connor of Forest Hill, sister Elsa Walker of Santa Rosa, her nieces Debbie, Murphy and Julie, and two nephrews. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews, cousins, and life long friends. Her last few weeks where spent with a loyal and devoted friend Debbie Perasso. She took Marcia under her wing like an angel into her home and made Marcia’s life comfortable and safe until it was time she flew into her Mother’s arms. She will be deeply missed by all she touched.

A celebration of her life will be held on Nov. 14, 2010 at “Little Switzerland” 19080 Riverside Dr., Sonoma at 12 noon. She would love all of us to come together and celebrate. So bring a photo, a story or just yourselves and we will see you Sunday.
