Love is a warm blanket

Student council co-presidents Kelsey Walthard (L) and Alex Quackenbush (R) headed up a blanket drive at Presentation School, collecting more than 100 blankets that they will deliver to the Redwood Gospel Mission and the Rose Women and Children’s Emergency Shelter in Santa Rosa later this month.  As part of their campaign platform the eighth graders focused on community outreach.  The blanket drive was the first in a series of efforts that will also include cleaning up local bike paths and serving lunch to the homeless at San Francisco’s Glide Memorial Church.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! Two outstanding individuals standing up to their campaign promises of community outreach and this one was a big one. Over 100 blankets to help the people in need, especially this time of year when it is so darn cold. Good going girls and keep up the great work.
