A new structure on the west side of the current campus will be the centerpiece of the Sonoma Valley Hospital remodel and seismic retrofit project. The hospital board authorized the final design and plan, with a total budget of $36.7 million. During the past six months, as the facility design has become finalized, costs in the areas of medical equipment, furniture and fixtures, and IT systems were revised upwards. The biggest increases were for state-of-the-art medical equipment for the new operating rooms suites and the expanded Emergency Department. The project is due to be complete in late 2013.
