Congressman Mike Thompson will hold a community meeting on the U.S. debt crisis on Feb. 24 at the Sonoma Community Center.
The 6:30 p.m. forum will focus on potential solutions to the country’s growing debt, including proposals from the Obama Administration’s Fiscal Commission.
Rep. Thompson represents the Sonoma Valley as part of the California’s 1st Congressional District.
Rep. Thompson is a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He is also a member of the fiscally conservative Blue Dog Coalition and sits on the bipartisan, bicameral Congressional Wine Caucus.
The free meeting will be held in the center’s Andrews Hall at 276 East Napa Street.
