Stamps of approval

 
Prestwood fifth graders Carlos Medina, Karina Pureco, and Madeline Anderson show their designs for a U.S. postage stamp, entries in the 2011 Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest. The selection of California’s “Best of Show” design will be made in Sonoma on Friday, March 25 at Cornerstone Gardens. The state judging, held for the first time in Sonoma, will be part of a two-day Bird Festival with live raptors, art, optics, decoy carvers and displays, presented by Sonoma Birding.
