Rabo Bank supports Lovin’ Oven
At last week’s City Party on the Plaza the Lovin’ Oven bakers were presented with a check for $500 courtesy of Rabo Bank. Vice President and Branch Manager Cathy Gorham made the donation, to be used to purchase baking ingredients. The baking program has expanded products from the original “Lollicakes” to pies on a stick, huevos en mano, flatbread and many other items.
Lovin’ Oven is a teen–operated bakery at The Valley of the Moon Teen Center. It is one of the programs offered by Sonoma Valley Teen Services, which provides skill-based programs for teens. Experiential, hands-on and inspirational programs are designed to reinforce and foster students’ academic and career interests through involvement with the community and local businesses. Other programs include the No-Name Café, Art Wednesday and The Shop.

But how much longer does Sonoma Valley have to bear front page color photos of Cathy Gorham former Chief Operating Officer and Compliance Officer at failed Sonoma Valley Bank? I mean if there was one person responsible for reporting Suspicious Activity (filing SAR’s) against SVB loan officer Brian Melland for accepting gifts and soliciting investments into his Magnus Innovations (Fuerza Energy Drink) venture to the tune of $250k from Bijian Madjlessi, on trial for 4 counts of felony insurance fraud and under investigation by a Federal Grand Jury for criminal activity in a host of Northbay banks including Sonoma Valley Bank?
Rabobank also hired Sean Cutting, former President and Senior Lending Officer responsible for bringing in Bijian and betting the entire bank’s capital base on his deals on the 101 corridor. Rabo spokesperson raved at how they picked the “right team”? Yet, they had participations in loans through acquired Napa Community Bank from Bijian Madjlessi so they should have known all about Bijian and his shennigans.
