Birthday bash for HopMonk Tavern

Posted on November 21, 2011 by Sonoma Valley Sun

HopMonk Tavern will celebrate its one-year anniversary with live music and free finger food on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

“We are amazed to be already hitting our one year mark in Sonoma,” said owner Dean Biersch. He is the co-founder of the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant Group and Gordon Biersch Brewing Company, established in 1988.

“We hope folks will swing by for a beer so we can thank them personally for their generous support from day one,” he said.

The party gets underway at 5 p.m. with free appetizers, plus an acoustic set from champion finger picking guitarist Keith Richman. Pat Jordon, who played at the tavern’s grand opening a year ago, returns to perform from 9 to 11 p.m.

“A great town needs a special Tavern,” Biersch said, “a place for friends, family, tasty food, fresh beer and the very occasional live musical performance.”

HopMonk Tavern is located at 691 Broadway in Sonoma.
