Red and White and fun all over

Food, wine and dancing on Sonoma Plaza… The Red and White Ball, a fundraiser for the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, returns August 18 with three different ticket options.

“We are having a blast setting up tickets and seating for everyone right now,” said SVED Executive Director Laura Zimmerman. “Hurry and get on board. This is one very special evening where our entire community comes together in the heart of our town on behalf of our local public schools.”

Dave Martin’s House Party Band returns for what Zimmerman calls “the dance party of the year. The event will also feature delectable food including treats from the Sonoma Valley School Gardens and exquisite Sonoma Valley wines.”

Ticket reservations are required for the 6 to 11 p.m. event. The VIP Farm to Table Dinner is a “party within the party” at $150 per person. The feast features all locally produced food, with some specially grown treats from the Sonoma Valley School Garden Project, plus the finest wines and special dinner prepared by Chef Chris Ludwick of Grapevine Catering.

The Picnic Party, $75 per person, is a reserved spot at one of the beautiful communal tables and a delectable BBQ buffet.

For those just looking to dance, The Dance Only D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself) Zone is $25 per person. Those who purchase this ticket are encouraged to bring their own table and dinner and join the party out on the dance floor.

“This event makes a big difference for our schools,” Zimmerman added. “The needs are steep, and we are super grateful for the commitment of this community.”

Everyone who attends the Red & White Ball will need to purchase tickets in order to be a part of the festivities. For tickets, information and volunteer opportunities, contact 935.9566 or SVgreatschools.com.
