The annual Girl Scout membership drive is underway. Local girls and their families are invited to participate in a fun activity, meet new friends and sign up for Girl Scouts at three upcoming events.
Girl Scouts is available to all girls ages 5 to 17, and is flexible to meet girls and volunteer’s schedule through a variety of pathways such as camp, troops and a series of activities.
Learn about and join a local troop at these upcoming free events:
September 24, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Girl Scout Welcome Party, at Altimira Middle School. Join all the Girl Scouts in Sonoma for their monthly “scout shout” celebration.
September 26, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tennis Fun for Girls, at Maxwell Park Tennis Courts. Learn about Girl Scouts and play a bit of tennis in an event co-sponsored by the USTA.
