Sonoma Valley Office Supply will close this week after 34 years in business. “Regretfully, we were unable to withstand the arrival of Staples to our little town,” stated Dana Frank in an email to customers.
The retailer, located at 551 Fifth Street, also ran a commercial sales operation under the name Bear Flag Office Products.
“Please continue to support local businesses,” Frank said. “We know we will.”
And this is why I refuse to shop at Staples. So sad…
