Sonoma Aquatic Club

Youth Water Polo for girls and boys, ages 7-14, of all ability levels, the basic skills and techniques of water polo taught through a series of fun and organized drills and games.

Junior Lifeguard Camps, ages 7-14, give introductory training in skills necessary for lifeguards, such as physical fitness, health and nutrition, swimming skills, First Aid/CPR, basic water assists, team building games and fun daily challenges. Must be able to swim two lengths of pool and tread water for one minute.

Sea Dragons Summer Swim Team, May 20-Aug 9, for ages 5+. Come swim with the Sea Dragons this summer. Fun, fitness, friendship, achieving, believing.

Summer Swim Lessons. Fun, progressive, skill-based swimming program modeled after nationally recognized standards and taught by experienced aquatic instructors. Summer sessions are offered weekly June 3 – August 15 (4 classes within each 1 week session). 939.8833 or Sonomaseadragons.com.

Sonoma Conservatory of Dance

Sonoma Conservatory of Dance’s Summer Dance Workshop is for all levels of students, ages 3 years to adult. While the youngest dancers study Pre-Ballet, those age 6 and up may study a variety of styles such as Classical and Contemporary Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Character and Flamenco. The Workshop culminates with a performance on Sunday, August 4, at the Sebastiani Theatre.  Guest and resident faculty from around the Bay Area and Europe!

In our Angelina Ballerina Summer Camp, children receive a quality dance education in a caring and fun environment, all based on the beloved Mousling!  This five-day camp is designed to promote physical health, confidence and creativity.  Promoting reading and literacy along with lessons in nutrition and creating a strong healthy body, educational activity sheets and craft projects, the Camp will create excitement among young dancers.

Moldovan Academy

Award-winning Moldovan Academy teams up with Lion Heart Fitness to offer a summer filled with sports and fun.

Children will spend their morning with Lion Heart Fitness learning the fundamentals of sports. Lion Heart Fitness offers unique sports classes that are designed to bring out the best in students in a fun, non-competitive environment. In this program positive reinforcement and encouragement are the most powerful teaching tools. This structured program teaches the necessary fundamentals of sports in a stress free environment.  Students develop strength, coordination, balance as well as sportsmanship and teamwork. For every child, every small victory builds the self confidence necessary to take on any challenge.

Sonoma Music Arts School

Our summer programs are designed to provide young musicians with an environment of cooperation ideal for creating music, friendships, personal growth, and amazing memories. We will be offering three Rock camps, a video camp and a new Audio Production Camp.

Summer of Rock: Our popular music performance camp returns for the eighth year. The program includes classes in theory, technique, rock styles and performance. Guitarists, keyboard players, singers, sax players, bassists and drummers with a minimum of one year of experience are invited to apply. We offer half-day and full-day camp options.

Video Camp: Learn to shoot and edit video, structure a video production, add sound to your videos, and popular formats for sharing on the Internet. Monday through Friday, 9AM to 4PM

Audio Production Camp: Learn to record edit and mix sound on your computer (Music, narration, voiceovers).

Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley

Summer Camp registration begins at our Summer Kick- off Party and Open House on April 27, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Maxwell Clubhouse.

The Boys & Girls Club offers a variety of camps designed for kids of all ages including youth in grades 1-5, middle school and high school students. The Maxwell Clubhouse is open Monday-Friday from 7 am -7 pm during the summer.  Free lunch and snack are served daily provided by the Redwood Empire Food Bank. Summer Membership fee :  $60.  Extra fees for specialty and morning camps.

Camp Activities include: Art, Sports & Fitness, Cooking, Gardening, Animation, Video Production, Rock Climbing, Science, Volleyball, Baseball, Basketball and Soccer. There will be weekly fieldtrips as well.

Sonoma Valley Museum of Art

Against the backdrop of SVMA’s summer exhibitions, participants in the Young Artists and Writers Workshops (ages 10-12 and 13-15) blend two artistic disciplines: visual art and creative writing. Writer Kate Williams and artist Walt Williams wield synergistic, cross-curricular approaches to engage students in a range of art disciplines to inspire their writing, and thematic forms of writing to motivate art making.

Workshop I:  “Pop Mindscapes,” is June 10–14, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It integrates Pop-inspired painting, graphic illustration, drawing, memoir, history and reflection. Workshop II:  “Indelible You: Making Your Mark,” July 15–19, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. includes abstract painting and drawing, photography, autobiography, aspiration and observation.

Tuition per workshop is $350/$295 (SVMA family member price). Early or sibling registration discounts available through May 17. Limited to 20 students per workshop
