Producer, director, theater youth mentor and all-around impresario Cat Austin has the bug again. Her ETC (Experiential Theatre Company) is aiming for a teen production of the musical “Rent” (school edition) in February.
“It’s been a while since we rocked this town with Michael Jackson, “Lion King” and “Mamma Mia,” she says. “Now it’s time to take it to the next level.” The show will cap off a 16-week winter workshop for teen performers, which starts this weekend. It’s tuition based, and scholarships are available.
