Classical music society announces new season

The Sonoma Classical Music Society will open its 10th concert season with a February 9 performance by the Alexander String Quartet at Vintage House. Additional performances include The Cypress String Quartet on March 9, pianist Anastasia Dedik on April 13, and Nigel Armstrong on May 11.

For the season opener, The Alexander String Quartet returns to Sonoma to perform for the fifth time in the last ten years. “The Alexanders are one of the great quartets of the world and they will be performing an all-Beethoven concert,” said Wally Breitman, society member and KSVY radio host. “It’s a superb program by a great Quartet.”

Detailed press releases for each concert will be issued approximately six weeks before the performance dates. If you have questions, please call (707) 939-3683, or e-mail wa11yb@hughes.net.

The society was formed in 2004 with the mission of sponsoring a series of classical music concerts in Sonoma of the highest professional quality. For information about supporting or joining, visit Sonomaclassical.org.
