The two were seriously injured in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. Jazzlin suffered lower body paralysis. Surgery was performed to fuse her spinal column and restore feeling; she has only recently returned to her Sonoma home.
Gustavo broke both his legs and has undergone multiple surgeries. Funds from the concert and any future donations will make a major difference in the ongoing recovery for the Mejia family.
