Emerging into the dusk is the The Soroptimist International of Sonoma Valley float, the first-place winner in the Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival’s nighttime parade on Sonoma Plaza.

IMG_4507Tami Cotter, Soroptimist vice president, accepts the first-place award from Dean Zellars, chairman of festival parade committee.
Cotter thanked them Serres Corporation, Best Pool Service, George Weiner and Barry Keizer for helping to create the winning entry.

The Soroptimist Internationl of Sonoma Valley, a nonprofit organization of women in business built to empower and inspire women and girls, had been serving the community for 54 years.

The block-long parade on September 27 was part of the 117th annual festival’s weekend of activity, including a free Plaza art show and party, grape stomp competition, and live music from headliners Lydia Pense & Cold Blood and Charlie Musselwhite.
