With 100 area children waiting to be matched with a caring adult, The Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance will host a Recruitment Event on Wednesday, September 16, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Ramekins, 450 W. Spain St., in Sonoma.
The informational event is also a chance to meet the Alliance’s new Executive Director, Lee Morgan Brown, who said, “Come learn about what it means to be a caring adult in the life of a child here in Sonoma Valley.”
There will be complimentary wine and appetizers, and lots of ‘no obligation information’ on what it takes to become a Mentor, Bron said. Appetizers will be prepared by some of the Mentees in the Ramekins kitchen.
The event will consist of a short presentation followed by Q&A. All interested adults, ages 21 and older, are welcome. For more information call 707.938.1990.
