It’s chilly, rainy and there is so much going on. Don’t forget about tonight’s David Bowie tribute night at HopMonk! And now to the weekend…

Wine down at Three Sticks Winery
The rather “exclusive” Three Sticks Winery is opening it’s doors to the public (with a ticket) on Fridays. This week will mark the second Wine Down Friday, where guests can hangout in Three Sticks’ downtown Sonoma adobe and enjoy their Cabernet Sauvignon.
Usually you have to pay a pretty penny for a tasting at the adobe, so this is a good chance to try their Cabs from Moon Mountain AVA and Napa Valley.
Winemaker Don Van Staaveren will be there pouring and sharing his Cab-knowledge with guests. I’ll be at the fire pit. See you there.
4PM-6PM | $20 per person | RSVP to info@threestickswine.com
Check out the new menu at the Depot Hotel
After a drink at Three Sticks, visit one of my favorite, consistently tasty restaurants in Wine Country! They update their menu weekly, in addition to chef’s specials that change every night.
The new menu items are perfect for fall and are localvore focused: Crostini Alla Toscana – Chicken liver pate with rosemary, sage, and olive oil on grilled bread ($6); a Tartufo pizza topped with Vella Jack Cheese, Cypress Grove Truffle Tremor, shaved brussels sprouts, red onions and truffle oil ($17); Braised wild boar with taggiasca olives, pork jus, and gremolata ($32)…
…and quite possibly my favorite meal on earth: Carnaroli risotto: risotto with marscapone and French Perigold black truffles – shaved table side.
It’s a perfect excuse for a date night, group dinner, or a cozy dinner by yourself next to the fireplace.

Eat cheese, drink wine at Corner 103
Corner 103 has introduced a new tasting experience at it’s downtown Sonoma tasting room: cheese!
Since the tasting room opened last year, it has gained the reputation for being one of the best food and wine pairing experiences in Wine Country.
The new “Sonoma Cheese Experience” pairs seven Corner 103 wines with six Vella Cheese Company cheeses. The experience was co-designed by Corner 103 owner Lloyd Davis, Vella Cheese Company, and sommelier Christopher Sawyer.
It is guaranteed to be a cheesy (in a good way) experience. I’ll be there Sunday, so stop by and say hi.
$40 per person | 11AM-7PM | 103 W. Napa St., Sonoma | 931-6141 | corner103.com
