Walking to end hunger

Sonoma’s seventh annual CROP Hunger Walk (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) on Sunday, April 24, is one of many held each year across the U.S. under the auspices of Church World Service, a consortium of 39 Christian denominations working to alleviate global poverty.

Registration begins at noon at the First Congregational Church, 252 West Spain Street. Children, strollers and pets are all welcome.

The first 100 persons to sign up will receive a free CROP Walk T-shirt. The event will feature music, refreshments and a silent auction. The silent auction will be held in Burlingame Hall on the FCC campus beginning at 12 noon and ending at 1 p.m. when the Walk begins.
