The 2013 Ferrari-Carano Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a darn tasty Cab.

Alexander Valley is an AVA ripe (no pun intended) with great Cabs in recent vintages.

A nose of cocoa, cedar plank, currant, wild berry and a well worn (but well maintained) leather bomber jacket.

The mouthfeel is great with nice tannins and a taste of raspberry, blackberry and plum, thanks to a hint of Syrah in the blend.

Enjoy with a grilled steak marinated in a teriyaki base or enjoy as a stand-alone wine outside, with friends, by a fire pit.
