Recall: Hostess snack cakes and donuts

Hostess has announced a voluntary recall for 710,000 cases of select snack cakes and donuts due to Hostess’ flour provider, Grain Craft, discovering undeclared peanut residue in the flour used in the products.

The amount of residue is considered to be low, and therefore “not expected to cause adverse health effects in the vast majority of of peanut allergic consumers, according to the FDA.

So far, only two reports of allergic reactions have been reported.

It includes a long list of Chocodiles, Ding Dongs, Zingers, Chocolate Donuts, Devils Food Donuts, Glazed Mini Donut, Maple Donuts, and Powder Donuts. Consumers who purchased any of the following snack cakes and/or donuts  that meet the UPCs, batches and best buy dates can bring them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
