Mayo Family Winery has introduced their new summer food and wine pairing as designed and prepared by Executive Chef Sam Frumkin.
Frumkin pulls inspiration from his family heritage to create a worldly menu including seven wines paired with seven dishes:
- 2013 Reserve Chardonnay, Laurel Hill Vineyard, Sonoma Valley paired with Chicken & Sweet Summer Corn Chowder
- 2013 Grenache Blanc, Saralee’s Vineyard, Russian River Valley paired with Cucumber & Compressed Melon Salad
- 2013 Reserve Pinot Noir, La Cruz Vineyard, Sonoma Valley paired with Grilled Salmon & Fennel, Kale Braisage
- 2012 Reserve Zinfandel, Ricci Vineyard, Russian River Valley paired with Pork Tenderloin & Cherry Reduction Sauce
- 2013 Reserve Meritage, Los Chamizal Vineyard, Napa Valley paired with Vegetable Moussaka
- 2012 Reserve Petite Sirah, Rossi Ranch, Sonoma Valley paired with Moroccan Braised Lamb
- 2013 Late Harvest Gewurztraminer, Kunde Ranch Vineyard paired with Apricot Cobbler
The new food and wine pairing is by appointment and is $40 for the general public and $25 for wine club members. Tastings are offered Thursday-Monday, 10:30AM-6:30PM. mayofamilywinery.com
